Our anniversary isn't for several more days, but due to scheduling, we used this weekend to get away.
Mike arranged everything. We went up to Index, Washington and stayed at a bed and breakfast. We had more of a suite with a living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and the bedroom. We also had a private garden and a hot tub. The bed and breakfast was run by a woman named Moon and she loved antiques. At one point I asked Mike, "Aren't you just the littlest bit afraid that this place is haunted?" He just laughed at me. It was really nice and comfortable though.
We used the grill and had some great steak and zucchini for dinner. We had to drive down to the main highway to get reception to call to check on the girls and they were to busy playing to want to talk. We then relaxed the rest of the night and passed out on the couch.
We slept in until 9, which was beautiful.
After we ate, we rode our bikes around town. We checked out and headed back to get our girls. They had so much fun at their princess sleep over. There is a great couple we know from church who watched Addie and Leah. That love our girls and our girls love them.
Celebrating 4 years of a fun marriage couldn't have come at a better time. I know we both needed a small break. I love Mike and the life he has given me. He pushes me to be more adventurous (skiing and mountain biking) and I am looking forward to many more adventures together.
