Thursday

I know these are all of Addie (I've put up a lot of Leah recently), but we had a great day. We went to Country Village. We started out by feeding the ducks and roosters. Addie full on kicked a rooster in the head when he got too close. Addie was so great and listened really well, which is something we have been working on. Leah is such a happy camper, as long as we kept the stroller moving. We paid $10 for the three of us girls to go on the train ride. As you can see from the first few pictures, Addie was in heaven. She giggled the whole ride. The guy that runs it was super sweet. He is a train enthusiast. He even showed Addie all his train sets and let her play with his Thomas track. Adds was so happy. 

Potty training is going really well. She is pretty good about teling me when she needs to go. In 2 1/2 weeks, she has had 5 accidents. I am so proud of her. I am getting more comfortable leaving the house. 

Ok, seriously, Leah pulls herself up to stand...what the what? How is she old enough to do that? 8 months has gone by way too fast.

This week

On Thursday Leah got her first tooth! I have tried to get a picture if it,  but that is a lost cause. Addie  is almost one hundred percent petty trained. We just need to work on nights and she will hopefully be set for life! 

On Friday night, Mitch and Kenna came up for the weekend. I wish it had been for a fun reason, but it was good too have them here. we did go to the zoo today. The weather was decent so we took advantage of it. 

The reason my siblings came up was to attend the funeral of a friend's cousin. The little seven year old girl died in a very sad accident, and it has once again brought to my mind how precious time is. Love better. Life is short, so live life more fully. Do the nicer things. Be the person you want to be; the person you know you should be.

Supplies for surviving potty training

1. Those chubby legs (try not smiling every time you see them; it's near impossible for me).

2. Mini cadbury eggs for bribery and your enjoyment

3. Patience (they don't always want to go which equates to accidents)

4. Love for doing laundry....lots of it. 

5. Ben and Jerry's

6. A great husband to pick up the aforementioned food items. 

7. Air freshener. Even though your friend tells you your house doesn't smell like pee, you can smell it. Just get a yummy candle.

Choo-choo! All aboard

We started potty training this morning. Addie is pretty excited about it, too (can you tell? this is her smile face). Once she fills her chart up with stickers, she gets a special treat. She picked out some cute undies and is all about going by herself. We also got some princess pull-ups for naps and bed time. 

I am so excited to have one baby in diapers instead of two. 

In other news, we had a great weekend in Vancouver. Baby Ben looked so cute in his blessing outfit. It was a cute little blue sailor outfit. It was so good to see couins, grandparents, aunts and uncles. We have snow on the ground. And I am making mike go skiing this week. Its to good not to go.

13 for Thursday

1. Love me some chubby baby

2. She crawled the other day, but seems to have lost interest... I give it a couple more day. 

3. We are going to the Couve tomorrow!

4. We get to see a special baby blessing.

5. We start potty training on monday, or more likey Tuesday, because recovering from a trip is hard enough. 

6. I am embarassed that I love playing Angry Birds. I am kicking some pig butt.

7. I hate grocery shopping. Addie does so well until check out, but then she sees those dang princess dolls and candy bars and doesn't want to hand over the box of cereal she has her little hands on and does a high pitched scream. I don't doubt you heard it today. 

8. Staying on a budget is hard. I wish money grew on trees. 

9. Grateful for some realy good friends. 

10. I am longing to color my hair brown...I did it once in college and loved it, but I know I need to stay blonde. 

11. Going to Nordy's and sushi with the sistas this weekend.

12. Looking forward to the day Leah sleep 8 hours in a row. It'll come. 

13. I want to get on my soap box about the "blacks and the priesthood" issue that has resurfaced, but I won't. All I have to say is that I am glad to have faith in a loving, all-knowing God.
