We have had a busy two weeks!

As you can tell, the past two weeks took a toll on Addie. (I love this picture of her. It describes exactly how I felt this past little while)

So the last little while has been busy for us, but we have had some wonderful experiences!

It all started Tuesday the 16th. Adelaide got sick. (both ends.... that is all I will say)

Wednesday: I didn't think Adelaide was still sick so I took her out in public. MISTAKE! My best friend Juliana and I went to a super cute little bakery in Country Village (my favorite place in Bothell!). We were enjoying our sweets and then BOOM! She threw up everywhere. Yikes. I made a mess. The two women in there were soooo wonderful about it. It didn't even phase them, and they kept saying, "It has happened to us before!" Juliana says, "I just love women. We are great!"

Thursday: Doctor appointment to see if Addie was doing ok. She was. She had lost 5 ounces, but not to worry, she wasn't dehydrated, she just was under the weather.

Friday: Manicure and Pedicure with juliana. The last time I did this was last JUNE for her wedding.

Saturday: Started out with me taking my sisters to Old Navy to use the 30% off cupon! (THANKS KALLE) Before I left, the missionaries called Mike to see if he could help move someone. So he said yes. We went shopping and Mike was busy helping this person move. I got home at 12 and no Mike. (we had to be somewhere at 1:30...showered and in church clothes) Mike called about 12:30 and said he was almost home. 1:15 the call comes in: "I am at the Beardsley exit and I ran out of gas!" I cried on the stairs. I was having a stressful day and that just added to it. We met up at the Church.

So, my friend Juliana had been in town the previous weekend to see her mother, who was pretty ill and in the hospital, but she had been making miraculous improvements. Juliana surprised her mom! On Monday morning, we got the new that her mother passed away. It was so sad, but a beautiful peaceful passing. I had the privledge to take care of Juliana this week. I was sooo happy to do it. She is my best friend and I wish I could have done more for her. But Saturday was the best funeral I have ever been to. It was beautiful and uplifting. Not sad, but such a CELEBRATION of Janine Hogan! The best talk, at least for me, was by Holly Metcalf. She spoke of the Plan of Salvation by using the Parable of the Good Samaritan. It was just wonderful. I was so happy to be there for Juliana and I love her!

We were a bit late to the funeral, due to Mike and his crazy morning. (For the record, I was not mad at Mike..... Just the situation and how it was so out of his control)

Sunday: The usual church

Monday: Nothing exciting

Tuesday: Mike and I did sealings at the temple and it was beautiful. I decided that I always feel pretty and good at the temple! We hadn't been for a while, but I love being there and the feelings that we can feel while there.

Wednesday: WE ALL GOT SICK!!!! Wednesday was the worst night I have had in a long time. I slept on the bathroom floor. Mike was up every few hours. Enough said. Luckily, Addie slept soooo good!

Thursday: Mike took the first sick day since he started work up here! We just laid low. I had to go to the store to get saltines and gatorade

Friday: Mike's second sick day. We just hung out all day. I love it. But we feel sooooo much better.
We did go to Target today. I found a book for Addie with tags in it. The girl will eat the tags on anything. I knew this was for her. She is currently eating the tag of this book. NOT the tags in the book, the tag for the book.

6 Months Old!

I can't believe that my little Adelaide is already 6 months old!
She started to crawl the other day..... Yikes!! We have hardwood everywhere in our house. The only place she can really crawl is on the little 5x8 rug in the living room! Silly girl!
She got her first hair cut. I can't bring myself to cut whats on top yet, but I trimmed it up around the neck and ears. Its hard to give a hair cut to the busiest body ever!
We went to the doctors the other day for our check up. It was the worst thing ever. The nurse did not like to give shots to babies (who would?), but she was totally incapable of doing it. She took 2 minutes to give 4 shots, and then when we got home, we got a call from the clinic and were told that the nurse forgot to give one.... So we have to go back at the beginning of April. I was so upset! But, Adds is 15 pounds, 5 ounces and 25 1/2 inches long. She is a growing girl! She is 6 inches longer than when she was born, and 9 pounds 6 ounces more than when she was born!

Here is Miss Addie. We went shopping and we tried these sun glasses on her. I think they are too cute!

I found my old BYU Cheerleading uniform from when I was about her age. We love the Cougs. Dad likes the Utes... I should have known before I married him. (Just kidding..... mostly :) )

It has been so beautiful lately that we have been taking advantage of it and playing outside. On this day, we tried some little Cherrios for the first time (hence the drooly face). I also splurged on a $1 pinwheel. She loves it!
