Ok, question to moms of toddlers: did yours go through a no napping phase even if they needed one? Addie gets so tired, so we go through her nap time routine of snacks and some quiet time watching a few minutes of a movie. But when she gets in her room, she gets up and plays. Not with toys but with clothes and the laundry basket, and suddenly she "isn't" tired anymore. The problem is that when she gets up she is so ornery and can't hardly function, because she is so tired. What can I do to alleviate this problem? What has worked for you with your kids?

...No idea because Brin is still in her crib! She might be in her crib forever because I cannot stand the idea of her getting up and playing instead of sleeping!!!!! ahhhh
ReplyDeleteI have NO advice. I really wish I did have advice to give but I am sure I'll be going through this same thing in the near future!!!
Darci has done the same thing for months now. Especially with new transitions (moving). Lately I've gotten so fed up with it I've just stuck her in the car and go for a drive around close, as soon as she falls asleep I head home and stick her in her bed. As long as I get her home within a few minutes after she falls asleep, she'll stay asleep when I get her out of the car and put her in bed. That's about the only thing that works for us. Good luck!
